The name of the illustration is 'sometimes I just can't sleep'

To be fair the name inspires me more than the picture. The cookie is standing by the window, with a hot cup of something looking out on the autumn and the rain as the sunrise begins.

I guess I look the same way: a cookie all wrapped up, with my hot drink. The sunrise has begun. Evidently it is also autumn. The sky was leaking yellow light a few minutes ago and now it is a much cooler tone for the clouds.

Yet it is warm and cozy inside. Because of the yellow lamp, because of the throw on my lap, because of the jersey straight out of washing and because of the hot drink and an empty plate next to it with some crumbs from the toast that was never here.

It is 7:30 am on a Tuesday and I am writing, and it is oh so delightful!

I could have spent this time ticking off some to-do’s but what is a better ‘to-do’ than the one I want to do??
